ARSENAL Soccer Schools

News information…

Your chance to play at Emirates Stadium!
Each and every May Arsenal Soccer Schools stage their 3v3 World Cup finals, giving participants across the world the chance to follow in the footsteps of their heroes and represent their nation/region at Emirates Stadium, the home of Arsenal Football Club.
This year's tournament will take place on Saturday 21st May with each and every Arsenal Soccer School across the globe represented, and here's how you can be part of it.

The competition
The tournament is open to children aged 9 to 11 who attend an Arsenal Soccer School and starts with regional heats at each local school. The winners of each regional heat will then progress to finals day at Emirates Stadium. In the UK, regional heats will take place during the Easter school holiday period. For information on heats at our Soccer Schools outside of the UK please contact your local operator.
The tournament will be split into two sections between two separate age groups:
  • School year 4 (under 9's) - children born 1st September 2001 - 31st August 2002
  • School year 6 (under 11's) - children born 1st September 1999 - 31st August 2000
Each section will have 20 teams competing to be crowned 2011 3v3 World Cup Champions of their respective age group. Each team will have four players (one sub, no goalkeeper) and can consist of both boys and girls.
The teams will then play a 'round robin' format split between four groups with five teams to each meaning that teams will play a minimum of four matches. Each match will consist of six minutes straight through with no half time or change of ends.

The prize
On top of having the chance to follow in the footsteps of your heroes by playing on the pitch at the magnificent Emirates Stadium and be crowned the Arsenal 3v3 World Cup Champion participants will receive:
  • Certificate of participation and an Arsenal Soccer School gift
  • Medals for semi-finalists, runners up and trophy for the winning teams
  • The winners will also receive tickets and a pitch-side presentation of the coveted trophy at an Arsenal home fixture and an Arsenal first team signed football for each player

Last year's tournament
Our 2010 tournament at Emirates Stadium was the biggest to date and this year is set to be even bigger as all Arsenal Soccer Schools across the globe go head-to-head to showcase how they have learnt to play the Arsenal way.
After a thrilling tournament, last year saw Arsenal Soccer Schools Costa Del Sol (Spain) and Arsenal Soccer Schools Kent, Surrey and Sussex (England) crowned champions of their age groups. Make sure you contact your local Soccer School for information on how to take part.
