Manchester United vs Chelsea Barclays Premier league clash title 8th May 2011
This match will determine the struggle for the English league crown this season. Arsenal's victory makes Chelsea the chance to reach the peak, if they can beat United and match points.
This season has had its ups and downs, but in a very real sense, whoever will be raising the trophy at season's end is going to be decided by the game on Sunday the 8th May.
Manchester United's loss at Arsenal on Sunday has blown the title race wide open and suddenly it's all to play for at the top.
Having seen the Gunners crash out of the reckoning with a string of poor results, I expected the Red Devils to all but seal the Premier League crown with at least a point in the capital but defeat means Chelsea are within touching distance and the two now meet at Old Trafford.
Holding a three point advantage, one would have to think that a draw would be good enough for Sir Alex Ferguson's to then go on and land the spoils, United have just Blackburn and Blackpool to play after Sunday's showdown, but Chelsea have the wind in their sails and are certainly capable of triumphing when it matters most.
Victory at the Theatre of Dreams was crucial in Chelsea's title success last season and John Terry and his teammates will fancy their chances of repeating the trick. It won't be easy however and United's record on home soil this season is staggering.
Who will be the winner? they will fight all out. If Chelsea can achieve full points, then the competition will be more heat. But if the Red Devils can beat the blues, united at the summit will be more robust.
